Specialties & Populations

Patients of all backgrounds often see me to treat common issues within our lifespan — depression, anxiety, stress and trauma. Below are my additional specialties, demographics and issues I meet with both clinical expertise and lived experience:

Life Transitions & Adjustments — Our intersubjective lives are full of events and chaos that are seemingly only unique to us. When it becomes too much to handle independently, therapy aids in processing transitions and crafting plans to increase our resilience towards the transition. We’ve conquered a lot of things and will continue doing so! Releasing the distress associated with transitions in the therapy space allows us to embrace just how temporary these situations are & what positives of the situation push us forward in life.

Grief & Loss — I aim to always provide authentic response and presence in experiencing grief. Grief goes beyond life and death, as you may be experiencing grief in situations such as unemployment, relocation, a fall of social status. In therapy, I help navigate through the stuckness within grief, embracing how nothing is truly ever undone during loss. In processing grief within our space, we learn new languages and how to celebrate and keep the memory alive and impactful beyond our selves.

Family & Relationship Conflict — We are the mosaic of those we grow up with. Often times, addressing our relational/interpersonal selves in connection with family, friends & our partner(s) are the root cause of our symptoms & distress. I provide individualized, culturally-integrative reflections towards ruptures, repairs and co-existence with our relationships. Our reflective therapy space will give you the change & beliefs towards what needs to be done with those closest or furthest from you.

Racial & Gender Identity — As an advocate for breaking social barriers, gender & race along with similar dimensions are more than just something to be aware about in our therapy. Rewriting & boosting the validity of what makes our gender & race important will contribute positive change in life. Whether that be navigating toxic masculinity, deeply exploring alternative gender identities or processing cultural alienation & feeling “whitewashed” - I’m here to help unpack & enrich important, intersectional parts of ourselves that are unfed & unbonded. This includes how we can deepen understanding of our loved one’s identities & how to be more comfortable in our own skin.

School Issues — With ongoing funding cuts towards our education system, I provide direct aid in situations such as navigating solutions for homework, higher education decisions or simply tackling barriers with post-academic life. Besides providing space to process, I’m passionate in providing resources & researching with you what your next steps are. I operate with a philosophy that we must build passion for learning & simply getting the most out of your school life.
