As an solo outpatient practice, I hold the full scope and ethical duty to decline services during consultation or to terminate care & refer you elsewhere in the event that your presentation & self-report meet clinical need for a higher level of care, such as an intensive outpatient program (IOP), partial hospitalization program (PHP), or an inpatient stay. This clause protects both of our livelihoods in assessing and maintaining proper fit.
